Some new, correct high tensile rear lower shock absorber bolts?

The ones that go through the hub?

Does anyone by chance know the correct size, diameter and thread used and I could try searching the web?

These are on my car but both are bent!

I have just had one of mine sheared eek
and the suspension collapsed and the wheel was rubbing the wheel arch

Luckily it happened as I was reversing out of my drive
and not a few days earlier doing warp speeds!!!!! BIGGER eek !!!!!

Richard Thorpe sells them at £4.50 each but my local mechanic
managed to extract one side while in my garage and get some replacements
just from a local nut & bolt company and says all four (2 sides) cost less than £4!!!!

Obviously it was a lot easier doing the other side on his ramp

Sorry don't know the sizes - but if you can remove 1 side and take with you

HTH

Cheers
Richard

Hi Richard,

Just ordered a full bolt kit off of Richard.

All high tensile and c/w lock nuts.

Great.

SH also do them, as got a complete bolt set last winter smile

Still not bent after 4000 miles this year, so must not be trying hard enough smile

Especially when they get to 18 or 19 years old and then Shear!!!!!

I would hate to think of what may have happened if it had sheared while I was at speed eek

Cheers

Strangley mine finally gave way when pulling away in a carpark. NSR wheel dropped onto the fuel tank!
It had only been about five minutes before that I was on a dual carraigeway at considerably higher speed.....
What fun I had getting the bent bolt/rusted bush out.....

I have considered them a service item after that.
Just checked my invoice from Christopher Neil and the part number is 025D070A for the long bolt,

Is that the one that is supposed to have a split pin to stop it unwinding!

No - don't trhink the split pin is a standard feature - just something that garages have done over the years.
