I've just bought a '85 350i FHC but have a little question.

Here in Belgium we can only buy unleaded 95RON or 98RON, Leaded is practicly banned here.
So, is the Rover V8 3.5 capable to run on unleaded 98Ron without being damaged?

Thanks
Mario

Run my 350 on 95RON UL all the time (and did the same on the Chimaera from new). Never had a problem.

Now the Tasmin is another matter as the heads aren't modded yet so LRP rules

95 Ron is okay for normal use. 98 Ron is advisable for track day or enthusiastic road use...

Some of the early 390s will struggle on most things, but a 350 should be ok on 95!!!

Mario,

Congratulations on your excellent Wedge choice.

I run 98 unleaded without problems and at 8 degrees (standard setting). Would only use 95 in case of emergency, because the engine is designed for 97. Running on 95 is possible, but important the timing has then to be changed!

Live also in Belgium (Bornem) and have a 350i for 3 years now. If you want we can meet for a chat.
Would that be considered as a Wedge-meet?
