Looks like firefox's old Wedge is being broken now. frown

Seems a shame - must be hoping for more money that way.

Bit pointless really. Even if he did find someone willing to pay 2 big ones for the engine, then apart from the spoilers the basic car is just an (engineless) 350i. Somehow I doubt that a front air dam, rear wing and SEAC boot spoiler are worth another grand...

Oh yeah, that'll be the 'reinforced' aperture. That still flexes like a teenage gymnast.

Seem to recall comparing my car to Dexy's 350i and couldn't tell the screen frames apart.

Well, either the guy got impatient or something broke/was about to break.

Mad really, considering good-nick MK3 Cortina GXLs are making 4 grand now, and a decent Capri 2.8i complete with rust seeds makes 4 to 7 grand.
Now I wouldn't mind an old Corty for a bit of nostalgia, but certainly wouldn't spend that amount for one.

Wedges represent fantastic value for money, particularly when you consider the low insurance on them.

If they keep getting broken up then it won't be long before the Wedges are demanding the same money.

Too right. It's a vicious circle: they get cheaper, so they get bought by people who wrap them round the scenery, so they get repaired, which means people won't pay the full price, so that rubs off and the rest get cheaper.... or something.
