Probably a dodgy connection, underneath the spoiler is a hole that will give you access to the underside of the pod, on the base of the motor is a plastic knob that you can use to wind the motor up or down (beware, sometimes this sets the motor into action) also you can just about access the rats nest of wiring that is in there, give it a wobble and see if that sparks it into life.
If all else fails, disconnect the battery, wind the pod up (as above) remove headlamp and bowl to get at the connections on the wiring (keyhole surgery and fibreglass rash, open them up and give them a clean and squirt with WD40, this generally cures the problem, if it doesn't then it's out with the multimeter I'm afraid!
