I had all the fluids changed a few months back.
My diff has never leaked oil before then. The drain plug's been tightened and I'm waiting to see if that's done the trick, but I have a feeling its been overfilled and maybe coming out somewhere else.
Will this cause any damage?
Thanks in advance.

Could be coming out of the front seal (prop shaft end). One of my racing buddies had this at Anglesey when he filled the diff up whilst it was still jacked up at the back, hence overfilling it. Just make sure the car is on level ground and take the filler plug out to check the level.

Will this harm the front seal if I leave it, or should I take the filler plug out and let it drain to its natural level?

You have a breather pipe.

Who would that be that filled a diff up with the car at a 25 degree angle then? hehe

Hi,get underneath and check to see where the damp area is ie'the front bearing, side seals or the back plate. The filler plug in the back plate aint the easiest to remove but once out a sqeezy bottle with flexy tube is ideal to add your correct fluid until it runs out the plug through which you are filling. If a leak is on the backplate gasket i have a replacement gasket but you would have to remove diff to fix if its leaking anywhere really,John

Also check that the breather isn't blocked. Think it used to be a common problem and causes pressure in the diff which then causes leaks. Cheers Steve.

OK, thanks very much for the replies. I've just put the car in storage for the winter.
I shall be running it up periodically and checking for any furthur leaks. I understand what you are all telling me, but I just thought it odd that the diff would suddenly develope a leak after a fluid change. Cheers.
