Just ordered my front front springs from RT Racing, and Richard was the most helpful and knowledable chap I've encountered. What he didn't know about suspension setup's not worth knowing!

Thats good - to get him to talk for more that 20 seconds takes some effort.

Wow, I was on the phone for ages discussing bushes, pro and cons etc and he explained everything is an easy to understand way.
I was thinking how nice for someone to really want to help and share their knowledge, rather than just take an order!

I won't do his explanations justice, so I'd recommend you give him a call - but i'll try and explain it as best I can. Basically he advised to stay away from polyurethane bushes on the wishbones as the factory metalastic are better, having less movement than poly, and if you really want the best then go nylon or rose jointed. The theory on the rear wishbones being that you only want up down movement not lateral as this changes the toe in of the wheel, particularly on heavy cornering, which happens more with poly and leads them to degrade quicker. He also said that wishbone bushes take very little of the suspension shock loading, and therefore complaints of being too stiff are really wrong. Where you would really benefit from poly are the damper bushes as these are the main shock loading points for the suspension - and very little is transferred into the rest of the car.
Regarding springs he also said that the majority are on shorter than standard springs without people knowing it, and that the factory ride height was approx 4 fingers between the wheel and top of arch at the front - I certainly don't have that, either to some cut off coils of very tired springs - which probably lead to the rubbing on full lock.
I'm sure there are some very differing opinions to the above, and i'll see how I get on with the poly bushes i've allready fitted. What I liked was that he had a sensbile sounding justification for all of his opinions.

Hope that helps
