Got the car nearly ready for the painter but still haven't figured out how to get the lock arm and latch arm off of the door handles so I can remove them. Also, the boot hinges, anybody know if they still make the gasket for em'?

Finally in the trunk of mine there was a fiberboard box behind the cockpit wall. was that stock or did someone before me put it in for sound deadening. It is built quite well and the carpet seemed to fit it pretty good so I was thinking it was factory but I had to remove it to get access to the top bolts and hinge bolts.

The hinge gasket is easy to make - just a bit of rubber cut to shape will do the trick.

If you mean the steel rods that link the parts of the lock system together... if you look closely you will see a plastic (or maybe metal) spring clip around the ends of the link rods where they fit into the latch mechanism. If you swing these clips round so they detach from the rods, the rods will pull out of the latch.

Edit: re. the fibreboard box: has the car had some boom-tastic speakers fitted and later removed? The box could have been an enclosure for them (usually under-specified in my experience, to say nothing of badly dimensioned and non-separated... but as a car is the worst environment possible for stereo reproduction I guess it doesn't really matter, loudness is next to godliness to the chavvy ones wink)

There was also a fibreboard box around the electric aerial gubbins on mine.
