ok, maybe I'm being a tad dramatic, but the newly rebuilt engine in my S2 350i was run for a short while on zero pressure, probably due to being left stood for years. Soooo....engine out, sump off....and........mains are jiggered, crank has just about survived, oil pump jiggered (heavy scoring on outer casing), cam looks ok. So at the very least it's a new set of shell bearings, polish the crank, re-conn'd front cover with new oil pump...and please send all donations to...

The oil pump cover can be machined flat for a tenner - or less.

The rest doesn't look too expensive - prime the oil pump next time!
