it turns out the wedge i bought from driven image is an ex tvr press car, i had a slight suspicion when i seen a for sale advert of a white tvr 350i in one of the sprint magazines circled in pen, no photo but the exact same description of the car and it stated ex tvr press car. i was browsing thru ebay one day and had a look at those 350i road tests for sale i clicked on it cause it was a white 350i and it turned out to be my car, i bought it straight away with a confirmation from the seller that it was my car in the road test. im over the moon with it.

pics to follow:
motor magazine 1986 road test

also an article in performance car 1987

there maybe articles on it but dont know as yet, will keep searching. enjoy!

Nice research Raj - glad to hear the car's going well; it was mine between 2005 and 2008, and my first TVR smile

I think some other Wedgers will remember it too - I attended several events with it, including the first BBWF xmas get-together

http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a... Xmas Bash&mid=50788

and several Tunnel Runs in London - you can just make it out behind the Ford GT in the pic on Channel 4's website

http://www.channel4.com/4car/ft/feature/feature/16...

I hope you get as much fun from it as I did, feel free to get in touch if you'd like to know anything else about it!

I think Motor Sport magazine tested your car as well, I thought that number plate looked familiar.

Is it just me or in those pics at the top does the driver's side rear wheel bearing look well knackered? Or if it's A frame, it might be a UJ...

I'm sure it's sorted by now of course ;^)

Incidentally my grey 350i has been in two classic car mags, one about 15 years ago (reprinted in sprint) and another about 3 years ago.

You'll find your car featured twice in TVR Performance Portfolio 1986 - 1994 book. From Motorbooks International ISBN 1 85520 2603.

1st article is as you have highlighted and the second is from Motorsport March 1987.

Good book as it covers most versions pf the Wedge as well as some other lesser models such as the Griffith and Chimaera (only kidding love 'em all :-)

Hope this helps

Try Amazon or a book shop. With the ISBN number you'll have no probs getting it. My copy was around ten quid. I've had it for a while though. Good luck.
