Anyone got any money???
Discussion
Dunno about anyone else but this strikes me as a stupid amount of car for not much money...

Hmm.
No mention of chassis, but got to be worth a look at that price.
I'm looking for one to basically strip out and use for drag racing, so might just fit the bill.
Pity about the weather and awkward time for arranging transport, but not out of the question.
That's reminded me....must have tow bar fitted over the holiday.

Wasn't it only about 6 months ago you stated that a wedge was too fast for "the old man in you" ?(paraphrased)

Drag racing?
You've got my full support! I wanna see it on youtube.
Hi Mike...and a Merry Christmas to you and yours.
I meant I was fed up of trying to drive a quick car on our crowded roads, with 'big brother' ever present, and further restricted by my middle-aged reflexes, reactions, and eyesight.
I still love driving fast and making a lot of noise though, so drag racing seemed the best compromise. Not quite ready for the old people's home yet.
Plus of course I do drive about 800 miles a week in the course of my work.
Here's me earlier this year at our TVR drag race day just outside my hometown.

I only managed a 14.9 quarter in the 400SE, but I really was a bit out of sorts that day, and could probably have knocked at least half a second off the reaction time...which is the crucial part.
I think 14.5 is the 'official' quarter time for a 400 anyway, so not too shabby. Was on crap tyres too.

It's better than my best of 3 passes the only time I raced the wedge. (off the street...lol)
15.4 at 88.xx mph. I'd only had the car 3 days when I did that so I sort of drove it with kid gloves
at the launch. I think I could shave a 1/2 second too.
I also had bald rear tyres then. The Potenza S03's I bought would easily gain another tenth or more.
Merry Christmas to you.
[edit] As for the r/t, don't wait for green. Drop the clutch on the second yellow. By the time it grabs, it's green. My best r/t is a 0.03.
