.........frequently!! But this is as expected. But...has anyone found a magic cure for not being in the filling station for an age trying to get the tank filled to the brim? I've never managed to fill it to the top yet, I don't think. That last few quids worth is so tedious innit. I suppose it's all down to two seperate tanks and a link pipe. But combining the fuel greed and the small tank it's not like I only go in the petrol station occasionally. Go on tell me patience is a virtue. Grrrr!

I dunno if it helps but on the S the trick is to hold the nozzle upside down.

Yes it will take 61 litres - maybe you're not running it low enough? I frequently get 50l into mine, although it does tend to get a bit spluttery under hard acceleration when it gets lower. My all-time record was almost 60l.

As for filling-up, my technique is to stick the nozzle right in and go full speed until it clicks, then full speed again till the next click, then pull the nozzle out half-way and run in about half speed, I can get it to brim up to the filler neck in about 3 minutes.

I'll have to be more patient then. That's the technique I've been using. Obviously been around boring rep-mobiles too long. Cheers

Remember when I first got my S1 280 with the twin fillers...was filling up nicely no probs til I realised it was all shooting out the cap on the other side, which wasn't fastened properly, and forming a big pool under the car.

fking embarrassing. irked

No issues here, but big connecting pipe (know because I replaced it... which took a bit more time then filling up). Shaking the wedge a little helps in my case. Only trying to fill slowly in the end it starts using the overflow (like corning with a full tank on a trackday..., which left a small puddle as well.
