exhaust manifolds to go red hot? Doing the gaskets over the last few days I noticed the manifolds started going red hot after a few minutes. This is at night with low light. Checked tonight too after a run & they have a dim 'glow' going on. Is this normal? Can't say I noticed it with the other cars (not that I remember looking for it).
Runing too lean, timing....?
P.S. The car runs like a dream. Feels & goes very well indeed.

So does this mean you have cured your sealing issues??
If so how??..
Are the manifolds the originals? Probably..
If they are like mine, they are likely to be a lot thinner walled than they used to be..
Its too late to think straight (and I've just come from the hotel bar....)but exhaust gas temps are pretty high
and rust always seems to glow quicker than good metal?..?

Oh & my nice shiny, alloy, low entry trolley jack has packed in so I can't lift it.
