hi guys, having problems getting power to the fuel pump! got a 400se which i'm refurbing at the mo, i have had the engine running until the fuel pump packed up so i replaced the fuel pump but now i don't seem to have any power to it!! the fuse box is lying on the floor in footwell as are the relays but none of them are marked so don't know which one to check (although all fuses seem fine). the other things i thought it could be is the crank sensor or imboiliser, any ideas on where to start would be most appreciated.

Is it a flapper or hotwire?

This was the position of the relay in my old flapper Wedge.....
Picture taken from the passenger seat in to the footwell.

it won't have power to the pump unless it is cranking.

To further confuse matters, not all wedges have the same relay layout biggrin

Could be the pump was never faulty at the getgo and the problem was always the pump supply? No matter! Examine the pump supply system and test all components involved - AFM, steering module, main relay and fuel pump relay. In addition, local connections/wiring may be disconnected, damaged and/or corroded.

This clicky will take you though pump supply components, operation and testing. Your flapper Efi component layout is not the same as shown but your system is pretty much identical. A TVR bod might identify which bits are which. For more info on your flapper click on full Efi component list. If you need further reading material, follow the links.

Ignition on, moove flap in AFM. Pump should burst in to action. If not, then you have a supply problem. Fuse, relay, wiring.....

Following a suggestion I wired a lamp socket to the last point I could for the pump supply. If I think there is an issue I pop a lamp in and see if the feed is good. Gives a quick indication if there is an issue with the leccy.
