Hi guys .... worth a punt does anyone have a S2 front metal indicator / sidelight assembly lying around in exchange for some beer tokens??

It is the flat type with 2 securing screws. My lense is fine its just the bulb holders that are too far gone with corrosion see piccies:

The plate is marker Cibie. Or if anyone has the donor vehicle details that would be appreciated

Thanks in advance

Chris

There was only one tyre for this model of car and they're getting to be as rare as hens teeth. Your back box looks pretty good to me so I would say buy a couple of bulb holders and weld them on. The alterantives suggested above and on the other thread work OK but if you want originality a little fettling is in order. (FWIW mid life R12.)

Thanks guys ... have managed to solder a flying lead to the bottom of the bulb to get it working for now but would like to replace / do it properly! If anyone has one I am your man!!!

Well done. Buying new holders and refurbing the original probably sounds like a lot of messing around but I'd say that it's a lot less time than trying to track down slow moving stock at some obscure dealer in Albania. Good luck.

This is what I did with mine.

Removed the bulb holders from some old MG bits I had, cut the old ones out, and fitted the MG bulb holders to the original backplates.

So if anybody has got a couple more for beer tokens etc please let me know!
