Petrol Tank Sender

Hi Guys

I have been told by my mechanic that the problem with the fuel guage on my 400SE,
since I bought it, is that the sender unit is kn*ck*r*d, and if I can get one
I may have a fuel guage that works!!!!!!!!

Tried to get one from TVR parts, RT Racing and also some breakers but no joy.

Anyone help with what it may be off or can be substituted with?

Are you sure? It's always worth double-checking for yourself. I pulled the loom off at the gauge end and attached an ohmmeter (and for a while that was my gauge - 200 ohms was half a tank or something!).

See it you get sensible readings corresponding to the petrol put in, if not it is indeed the sender.

I will be at the NYTVRCC meet on Sunday at Walshford if you fancy a beer
