Folks, what tyres do you use on the early 14" wheels, I've currenly got a set of Falkens (ZE912 IIRC) on the car, and I believe you can get Yokohama S306 tyres in the original 205/60R14 size, other than that theres a couple of recycled condom manufacturers but thats about all I can find.
That said changing to a 195/60 or 195/65 opens up many more options also going a touch wider give more options too. Has anyone tried wider/narrower tyres to get a better choice?
Regards
Iain

Sevens will probably know; my memory is getting a little hazy. Did the 200 have 195s and the V6 cars have 205s? People usually give the 912s a reasonable report http://www.event-tyres.co.uk/quotation/results.php I'm not sure about fitting wider wheels though both because of the rim width and potential rubbing issues. Good luck.
280i tyres should be 205/60 on the original 7J 14" alloys.
My old 280 FHC had Falkens on, which didn't seem bad.
I'm sure Toyos would have been better though.
Chedder has got 400SE wheels on his (early ?) 350i supercharged.
Lower profiles will give you an even harder ride, and narrower tyres will take away some of the pain of steering...but won't look as nice IMO.
