Tyre Pressures

Hi guys.

Sorry to keep chucking questions out here but I was surprised at what I read in the owners' handbook.

For my 1989 350I the handbook states the tyre pressures should be 22psi front and 20psi rear.

This seems very low to me, so I wondered what you guys were running yours at..?

Hi Martin, i've a 350, 89, i run them at 22/front and 24/back i do about 4000miles per year with no wear.

You're not trying hard enough then

22 F and 24 R (standard sizes) is what I used to run my 350 on.

Hmmm, interesting you both ran the same even though the handbook syas different.

I've just had a look in a copy of my old handbook, and you are correct, but I think the 20 psi for the rear must be a typo - for the 200 and the 280 it is 24 psi rear, all on 60 profile tyres.

Thanks guys, it just seemed a little low to me and wondered if people 'pumped 'em up a bit' or not.

Mine were on about 16/18, feels a little better now!
