Stopped into drop off the door handles and boot hinges with my newly fabricated rubber seals and saw my car in the paint booth. It is 100% pink! Smoothest Tasmin I've ever seen. Should be red again by tomorrow. I just hope it stops snowing enough for me to get it home next week.

Still need a striker plate for the US drivers side if anyone has one laying around and is willing to ship to the US let me know!

Rain, we have 45 inches of snow on the ground and are expecting another 4 or so tonight. Its more the salt that worries me (and being able to get it the 1/4 mile home).

And yes, I did get the 95 mustang engine and tranny. It is sitting in my garage right now. Plan is to accumulate all the parts I need (wiring, computers and clutch), do a mild rebuild to 240-275hp and 325lbs/ft of torque then install it next winter. I do plan on doing it slightly different then most of the other Ford small blocks in that I plan to retain fuel injection. Still trying to find a source to make some custom TVR Power valve covers and a intake manifold plate. I'm too anal to have Ford on it. smile

Stopped in today to see if Hotty's template fits and the car shell is done. Looks quite good. Pics posted on the link above.

No sherry, it isn't good with my liver along side the vicadin and muscle relaxers for my back.

Picked up my car today nearly 10 weeks after it went to the painter. Needs to go back and get a final cut in 2 weeks or so but it was definately a chilly ride. Expecting 6-12 inches of snow tonight.

Nice shots Ben. Those seats look good too, what are they from?

A Mazda Miata (MX-5)I'm guessing... If I'm correct...

I have one in mine but am not happy with how "un-flat" the bottom is (high at the front, low at the rear b/c of the slope on the floor pan).

Did you raise the rear or find a way to lower the front? Grady

eta - The paint looks great!

Yes Grady,
Those are circa 94 Miata seats. I used the stock TVR brackets and made a 1/2 inch or so spacer for the rear end. It still has a bit of a rise but I'm about 6'1" and don't mind it as it supports my legs quite well. Do wish the seat was about an inch lower. The fit was pretty straight foward. Just needed to drill some new holes and find some allen head screws which would fit inside the rail and allow it to slide for the drivers side. Pass side I needed to enlarge the holes in the floor pan as for some reason the miata seat has a different spacing for that side. Haven't wired the speakers in the headrest up yet but it does have 'em.

Will work on some proper pics now that it is home. Just needs to go back and get cut and buffed in a couple of weeks.

Edit: Got some new pics posted!

I used the Miata brackets... I wonder if the TVR's are lower. I started with a piece of 1/2 bar stock under the rear but took it out for some reason (that I don't recall now). I may put it back. IIRC 2 of the 4 holes lined up and I added huge fender washers and lock nuts.

The headphone speakers are a huge improvement. There is a specific replacement that is recommended if you ever need to replace them.

Are those the original leathers? The color match looks very good. Grady

Yeah, the TVR brackets were lower. Mine is just high enough to let the seat move over the carpet. Covers are a cheap ebay special from china. Not real leather and the bolster is already showing wear.
