Google say's it's off an American spec series 2. That's my best guess.

Dunno about the switches, mine dosen't have them.
Maybe they are aftermarket, for front fog lights and electric ariel or something like that?
The one to the left is definitely reminiscent of an aerial lift switch from the days before they standardised on a system powered by the stereo itself. I recall my dad fitting a couple to customers' cars.Maybe they are aftermarket, for front fog lights and electric ariel or something like that?
You are probably right about the aerial, but it probably wont work now as I bashed the crap out of it to get it to go down, obviously not knowing it was electric! (probably didnt work anyway)
The 'lights' switch is definately not the dash lights as these are controlled from the centre console drivers side rear switch and give a two stage illumination, crap and crappier!!
I managed to find this out after 3 hours in the car at night wilst sitting in traffic on the M1 and randomly playing with knobs, as it were!! I was using a torch every few mins before that to check the temps and oil pressure!
There are plenty of random wires and those poxy scotch clips dotted around the wiring loom, and these will be promtly removed and every joint soldered ASAP, hopefully this will sort out some of the non working electrical items like the lighter and rear windscreen!
It wont be as in depth as Brap Brap's posts but ill take pics of everything I do, it might help some poor fool who decides to buy a 'running project' in the future!
