Nope, really easy jobs, just done a major service myself last weekend. Just need a 32mm spanner to get the drain plug off ( no room for a socket) and a length of garden hose or similar passed through the engine bay to fill the gearbox. My LT77 took under 2 litres of oil, not sure exactly how much as i spilt a fair bit on the garage floor
No longer graunches into reverse and changes much smoother.

Hey guys, going to be doing a major service on the car soon, so thinking of doing this job and also the diff..
Are they difficult jobs? Must admit i had the gearbox level checked by someone else last time...
Not especially, just remember to slacken the filler before you drain the oil, just in case the filler won't budge - at least you will still be able to use the car. And ideally it will need to be level when checking, so unless you're a matchstick-man, you'll need to support the car on axle stands at both ends. (unless you have a pit or a lift of course.) You'll need proper LSD oil if you have a Powr-Lok diff. Are they difficult jobs? Must admit i had the gearbox level checked by someone else last time...
