Morning all,

I've decided that one thing I'm going to try and achieve this year is to make my trailing arm wedge tackle corners as well as it can, without going into any fancy rose-jointed arms etc. So this will purely be a case of correct setup & tweaking. After reading a book on the stuff and looking at the car I've realised I've got the following options to play with:

Tyres (size & manufacture)
Front & Rear tyre pressures
Front toe in/out
Front shock stiffness (adjustable AVO shocks fitted)
Front ARB size
Rear toe in/out
Rear camber
Rear shock stiffness (adjustable AVO shocks fitted)
Rear spring ride height

The tyres I'm very happy with (Falken ZE 192s) and can even hold traction fairly well in the wet. The car is also polybushed as much as I can.

The first part of the plan is to get the car back to how it left the factory, as I know a lot of these settings have changed over time (for example I have NO packing shims on the o/s driveshaft). So does anybody know what the factory settings should be?

Also if anybody has been playing and has a preferred setup it I'd love to know what it is, and how you find it. thumbup

Thanks,
Chris

From the owners handbook of 1984, which will cover the trailing arm rear suspension models:

Front (all at mid-laden):
Toe in 3.2mm + \ - 1.5mm
camber 0 deg. + / - 0.5 deg.
castor 3.5 deg. + / - 0.5 deg.

Rear (all at mid-laden):
toe in 4.5mm + / - 1.5mm
camber 0.5 deg. + / - 0.5 deg. (I would assume that this is negative rather than positive camber).

Also being a pain in the arse, does anyone know the front & rear track of the 350?

Thanks,
Chris
