what to change next?
Discussion
Ive now changed the tie rod bushes (poly), roll bar bushes (poly), bottom ball joints and steering ball joints.
Ive bled the brakes, although they need a bit more bleeding, and the discs and pads are new on the front.
SO
Why is the car still diving off to the left on braking???????
It feels like it pulls slightly to the right when accelerating and pulls the whole body to the left on heavy braking, the steering wheel stays in the same position and dose'nt wander, so Im guessing it may have somthing to do with the suspension?!?!?!?
I have looked all around the springs and shocks, and although they look a bit rusty, there are no leaks on the shocks and the rubbers for the springs and shocks seem fine!
Any Ideas??
It certainly makes for a fun drive!!!

Heavily cambered roads can accentuate the pulling to the left effect. Are the brakes all free, i.e. did you remove all the pads and check that the pistons move freely back and forth ok? Maybe one is sticking?

Yep, I also think that it sounds like you need a caliper refurb. Try classiccar: http://www.classiccar.net/cdps/cditem.cfm?NID=43957.
What tyre pressures are you running? Camber and ruts in the road can cause problems and be exaggerated by tyre pressures being on the low side.
Take it to an MOT place and have them look over the suspension for any loose bits, bushings and bearings, it'll only cost the price of an MOT.
After eliminating the suspension, there might be a crack in the chassis or the diff mounting or carrier.

but you'd expect those things to happen when not braking.Take it to an MOT place and have them look over the suspension for any loose bits, bushings and bearings, it'll only cost the price of an MOT.

I don't think you should be guessing.
Car on the flat, check alignment, as long as you have a slight toe in that's good enough. (for now)
Front up on stands, bearings and wheel play play in steering
Wheels off, check discs for run out.
Pull on hubs for forward and backward play.
Then check slaves for operation of pistons.
I just re read you post !!!!
Re bleed the brakes !!!
Maybe flush the fluid if your master is old (ish) and you bled by pushing pedal all the way to the floor.
You may have dislodged a small peice of crap in the usually unused part of the master. Crap in the slaves is quite common (any car) either from master or disintergrating hoses.

As mentioned before, bleed the brakes. This sorted on my wedge what you are experiencing.
Another situation was a front brake caliper/sticking piston issue (discovered by wearing brakepads on one side more rapidly then the other!) that caused likewise behaviour, replaced calipers both sides and it was sorted....
