Brake Pads and Lines
Discussion
I've been looking at EBC Redstuff pads. Anyone know if they are any good??
Any other recomendations for a 400SE?? Want a bit of extra feel in the pedal as much as better stopping power.
Final question, anyone know a good source for braided brake lines in the North West region?
Thanks, Dave

I had Redstuff pads in my Maserati Biturbo, and I thought they were utterly fantastic!
Even from cold they worked very well.
I can't wait for my wedge pads to wear out so I can put Redstuff in that too!
I've neer been impressed by Greenstuff though.
A guy at work swears by Yellowstuff, even on his every day car, and from cold too.

What pads are you running at the moment?
I've used Ferodo pads for several years now (DS2000, DS3000 & DS2500), and am perfectly happy with them. DS2500 is my current choice. I would recommend that you keep the same brand and compund on the front and the rear though, to avoid introducing any unwanted inbalance through differing levels of friction material grip.

To be honest, no idea what is on now as I've only had the Wedge a couple of months, most of that time its been under wraps in the garage due to the weather. I've had the DS2500's recommended by another wedger so it could be a good way to go.I've used Ferodo pads for several years now (DS2000, DS3000 & DS2500), and am perfectly happy with them. Thanks for the help. Dave
I'll second the Ferodo DS series pads. I've used them (DS2000 & 2500) on nearly all of my cars and they offer good stopping power and fade resistance, i've found they do tend to squeal a bit though and they can be a bugger to get hold of as opposed to the EBC stuff which is sold absolutley everywhere it seems.
The Mintex 1155 compund also seems to get good reviews though i've never tried them.
