plenum hotspot removal
Discussion
Remove the whole thing.
Plug any bolt holes that penetrate into the plenum throat with cap headed bolts and threadlock.
Its fed with coolant from the two 10ish mm coolant pipes that run from the waterpum area, tee'd via plastic tee pieces. Remove the excess plumbing and replace the perished (well, it probably is by now!!) hose with gates multifuel hose from the motor factor. 'S wot I did, and if nothing else the engine bay looks smarter.
On a TVR the hotspot is about as relevant as tits on a fish.

What is the "hot spot" ?
It's the throttle body heater (under the disc area) and is useful if you run a Landy or Rangy in sub-zero temps. As Ed says, just do away with the hoses and re-route. I actually left the alloy plate in place, just without the hoses connected. Either do that or remove and seal the bolt holes, otherwise the idle will go through the roof.7.

I forgot to plug the bolt holes in mine and it just wouldn't idle, never mind through the roof...
