I have (out of the blue) a serious offer on the SEAC...my decision is to keep especially having just got my new dash laminates (yet to fit) and also Gaz spring/shock kit that arrived from TVR car parts today.

Hmm...should i?? Tbh now i'm on my own i need to have slightly more practical machines on hand.

A very odd thing to say on two levels: on your own suit yourself and wedges can caryy a lot of stuff with a little inginuity - renovating my house many things from I've carried 12ft ladders to long lengths of copper pipe and sacks of rubble. Just carry old thick blankets to protect your car.

Of course, what other responses did i think i was going to get....biggrin

The issue i have is the new flat i have moved to has a drive & garage...where's the problem then??
Well, the drive is very steep in relation to the road...i can't see for the life of me how i'm going to get the Wedge up it??

Tis a bit of a bugger...

320 bhp should help..

Just hope your exhaust is high enough.

When do you move into the new flat ?

I moved in 2 weeks ago. I need to see if fitting the suspension and adjusting the exhaust will allow me to get it up the drive.

I know i'd regret it if i did sell. All comes down to getting up the drive.

Having been where you are and I'm sure there's a few of us who have, I can certainly vouch for not selling the Tiv at a point when you're likely to enjoy it most. Daft I know and trying to think laterally but have you looked into renting a garage the SEAC can get into, you could always then rent yours to cover that cost..? Usually not expensive and plenty of them around. A mild inconvenience to ensure you keep the car. smile

Good point .. I actually rented a garage around the corner from the local council when I lived in Hoddesdon. Cost was £8 a week. I also had a local locksmith add 2 extra chub locks for <£100 to keep it safe.

Hi

I also rent a few garages from the local council (Brick built) good value and it allows you to keep your pride and joy!
I have beefed up the locks, but am having to do it again today as some low life had a go at three of them on Thursday night (Plus another 20 odd in my town) Know I wonder can I electrify the locks!!!!!!

The problem with renting garages you end up with more, In my case six of them with four TVR's in them and if the wife gets here way five (so that will then mean I can get my dream, a Tuscan racer for the road!)

My drive is just shy of 1 in 3 and I have no problems "getting it up". It's not the angle of the drive that's the problem it's how quickly the angle changes.
