Another Engine In!

Oiled the new engine up at last with mineral oil,connected new fuel hoses and dropped a little super unleaded in the tank,no leaks so far.Now waiting a couple of weeks for a local chap to pop in and try to sort out second hand DTA ecu with whats left over from the old Lucas 4cu unit,stuck a temp flying lead on fuel pump tonight cos we cant seem to find fuel pump 'on' from DTA then tried a few of the cores from ecu for power.Well we have a spark and on turning engine over we had 2ft flame from rear so somefings going on,also oil pressure gauge rockets off scale when cranking over so i must check the wires to oil pump solenoid are the right way around,oh and re-assembled drive shafts today so will use them to run in before going for the big ones, Soooooooo a little progress

What do you need of the 4CU to fettle the DTA?

Its knowing what to use of the left over wires that i cut when removing all the lucas injection system,about 5 in all,they go into the wiring loom.Can see em all on the wedge wiring diagrams in Steve Heaths book but i need someone with a bit more brain than me to help work it out,need to get feed to fuel pump via DTA.Seeing that the old mongrel has been dormant for 2 years yesterday was quite encouraging;)
