Hi All

Iv decided because of the work being done to the SX alraedy it would be a silly not to have the engien rebuilt as it is out of the csr any way and because of the iack of history.
So the said engien is off to its maker TVR POWER on monday, as iv not finalised the spec of the engien with DOM i would be interested in what spec you would go for?.

Regards Chappers.

Hi Martin,

oh I don't know - bored out to 10l, 600bhp, cross-bolted bottom end, overhead cam ;^)

But seriously, you might want to check with Dennis Priddle who stuck the supercharger on it to see if there are any special considerations such as cam duration and lift.

I've found the one in mine to be quite strong, it can put up with the boost fairly happily. Just make sure they don't lose the front pulley!!!

The Sprintex S102 is good for up to 4l but be careful above that - you might end up with not much boost, defeating the reason for having a supercharger!

On mine the boost drops from 6psi to about 4.5 when you get to max rpm.

If you span it faster it would pump more air, but it has a max rpm of about 13500 (from memory) so you'd limit your engine revs.

Probably the best thing you could do with the 400SX engine-wise is change the ECU to something more efficient, with a knock sensor, followed by porting the heads.
