Crankshaft oil leak - make sure the engine breathers are all clear - including the pipes and the funny airway into the plenum chamber. And you haven't overfilled it with oil.

If there is pressure in the crankcase it'll blow out of these seals, taking oil with it.

Hi Adam,
I did have an over pressure problem, it was the metal pipe which goes into the plenum which the breather from the rocker cover connects to. It was lose and the hole pointing down rather than at 90 degrees. As I didconnected the breather from the rocker and lifted it to blow throug (check) the hole swiveled arouind as I lifted the hose and lined up ... seemingly no blockage, as I 've dropped it back down it swiveled back and blocked the hole, bummer to find. Now runs with almost a vacum.
I had a good look over the weekend and its possible I may be leaking from the oil pump base plate, oil everywher, difficult to pin point.

Regards,
BBT
