Fuel Line Routing
Discussion
I think broadly speaking you have 2 options.
Run them down the tunnel again. The pipes are better protected but if enough heat builds up in the tunnel you may get problems with fuel vaporisation.
Run them down the sill (I think they did this with the later cars) not as well protected but no issues with heat. Cheers Steve

Vaporisation is usually only a problem with "pull" pumps that sit next to the engine, for carb V8's like on the P6. (I remember blowing into the fuel filler of my P6 on a particularly hot day...)
I've never had a problem with tunnel routing - injection is over 2 atmospheres so the boiling point will be massive, plus there's a constant circulation of fuel back to the tank when idling to keep it all cool.

Just a hint when you replace your fuel return line. Where the line conects to the nearside tank keep the line as close to the side of the tank without of course kinking it,don't do what I did and allow it to rub against the tyre !! Only caught it in time before it rubbed right through!!
