windscreen for 400SE
Discussion
Is the windscreen for a 350 the same as the 400 ?
Back from my holiday last week to find the windscreen cracked, no sign of any damage or stone chips just cracked in the top corner !
I am just checking if anybody knows if both are the same, as Shaun/pileowedgebits (a saint )has one for me but I've been having a little difficulty in measuring both of them correctly.
Thanks
Stephen
(no time to change, will have to slum it to chatsworth with a broken screen)

They are all bonded in the same - the rubber trim is a separate part and stuck down for cosmetic purposes. It's also used on the lower part of the screen for Chimps. If you have the black rubber trim used on the doors acting as a seal for the door glass, it's also the same piece of trim as used on the screen surround.
I've put in 2 screens using Sika Flex 255 - it's a tricky job provided you are mindful that it's hard to get the old screen out without damaging the trim on the inside which is easy to replace if you do. Effectively you have 20 minutes to set the screen in place before the Sikaflex starts to go off - best get someone to help you lay the screen after you have prepped the screen surround doing a dry fit first to ensure everything is lined up.
