She was/is a little feistier than i remembered last time i tickled her pedals! biggrin

Just picked up my SEAC from Str8six after having new Gaz f+r shocks/springs fitted. Needed the lower bolt through the rear wishbone cutting & new bushes as it was pretty seized.

New fuel filter & new rubber fuel pipes as the ones fitted were a liability!

New alternator as it was doing nothing but add weight!

Bit of this, bit of that...blah blah, and a few of these £££ equals one of these! biggrin

Was like the parting of the red sea at 1.00 leptons on the M40. Felt guilty but..ahh sod it, felt good too! hehe

Forgot to add that she passed her MOT too..biggrin

Now just need to save to put some fuel in it..after i have yet another injection in my back Monday! frown

Edit: I normally put 20/50 in it but they had a devils own job finding any, so they have put 20/40 semi Mobil 1 in. This ok for a short while until i locate some 50?

I wouldn't waste the oil that's in it, should be fine. Just change to your preferred in 6 months / few K miles. I tend to use 15W 50 Motul.

Wayne - sound like they did a really good job on your car.

Hope you can make the next meeting on 12th May (I think..) in the SEAC. Been a while since I've seen on on the road.

For oil - I'm using Silkoline 10W/50, it's not cheap at £44 but it's one of the best oils out there.

Thanks chaps.

Alan, im fairly sure the oil you mention is what i used last.
Ill carry on as is but look out for the 20/50.
Fingers crossed i can make meeting, back pain aside!
Journey home yesterday had to be the best drive i have had in any TVR!

They are, and the ride is much improved. The old suspension on Str8six scrap
heap was very much past its best!

Known in the trade as completly bksed...

Looking to put some proper miles on her this year! driving

Are you still on target to finish Alan? Looking forward to seeing your SEAC.

Yes - work on the car is really coming along quickly.

Sadly work at work is finishing .. so I'll have plenty of time on my hands.
