Best stick with B7 ECS.

They are the best out there.

Hi Jonny! I used to run the Bosche variant of these, no gap to set and worked really well, only went back to the 'old' style when the Emerald was set up.
Plugs worked great and produced a spark even when wet! May get round to putting them back in one day.

I use NGK BR7ES because my ecu needs resistive plugs.

Ed, can you expand on the relationship between the (efi?) ECU and resistive spark plugs.

thanks lads, i've also been told to use B7ES plugs as they suit that type of engine.
cheers jonny.

+ 1

This is something to do with the reduction in electrical noise, which doesn't effect the Lucas FI but when you switch over to Emerald,MS, OMEX (or Megajolt in my case) non resistive plugs can cause misfires even if you have resistive leads fitted.

Not entirely sure - IIRC its to reduce EM coupling into things like sensor leads which then transport the noise back into the ecu. Either way, EM suppression gets important when you're using more complicated engine management, and resistive plugs help...
