Hi All, I am going to replace the brakes discs on my 400SE. I want to replace them with grooved discs and Mintex pads. I thought about getting some braided hoses as well, but I cannot find a site that lists them.
I am going to give Act Performance a call tomorrow and I would be grateful of any advice or experiences anybody has to offer. I thought about giving TVRCARSPARES a call as well.

Has anybody tried Red Stuff pads?

Cheers for now David.

Get ready to spend some money! See this thread and my comments there about rotors: http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

Mine are grooved as well. If you want to stick with the standard set-up, you won't go far wrong with BG Developments. Buy new fixing bolts as well. Pads: I've never used EBC stuff, so can't comment on them. I'ved used Mintex, Pagid and Ferodo in Wedges. I'm currently running DS2500 Ferodo front and back, and will stick with them. Let me know if you need the part numbers. The importer / supplier is http://www.circuitsupplies.com/

As for the hoses, I would think RT Racing will stock them.

Willwood and hi-spec, as well as brembo and AP should be able to help based on starting with a granada hub. Think the first two are in the 'budget' type of range. Using hi-spec myself (300mm vented and grooved with 4-pots) fits just in the standard 350i 15inch spoked wheels and happy with them (some others have a different opinion.....)
