Chap who is working on my 350 discovered low comp on one ( 100psi )
Checks other side and finds the same.
Great guy who knows 100-fold what i do and thinks that as the car has been sat for over 7years that running around and using her may well bring her up. Should be at around a minimum of 160ish
Any thoughts on that ??

Cant really add much in the way of technical advice etc, but just for reference/comparison, my 420SE ranges between 196-212psi (last check was in Jan this year).

Is it running ? My 350 sat for longer than that, I was told the same thing by a garage that ripped me off for £700, not that has anything to with anything but to have it running is the first step.
With a little help from wedg1e my 350 is running great now.

Did he try the spoonful of oil down the bore and did it bring the pressure up?

Hmmm, the piston rings could be stuck. I suspect that was what wrecked my Esprit engine; two of the pistons broke up rings and lands on the thrust side causing no compression. Couldn't see anything wrong (not even scored bores) till I stripped the motor down.

Otherwise, could be a valve not seating, rings already snapped (both my V6 Tasmin and the 390SE had broken rings), head gasket blowing...
