'85 US 280i, but I'm sure lots of bits came from the same buckets at the factory.

What size is your Clutch Master Cylinder ?

5/8ths ?.....3/4s ? (internal diam)

Clutch master on mine is a Rover SD1 item and overhauled it (and the slave as well) a couple of years a go with a seal kit. Rimmer do these, but I ordered in Belgium at a parts supplier and got it delivered the next day. Took care during reinstallation that the pushrod is as much in line with the bore of it, otherwise it won't last.

Brake master cylinder is 20,something mm as mentioned before. Various types exist (number of exits and on mine one needs to be blocked with a nipple!) as used on Fords of that day.

Mine was 3/4" (0.750) and brass sleeved.
So the o/h kit did not fit.
I got a new TR6 master and used the original rod. I did have to bush the hydraulic pipe fitting but at $70 bushing the fitting was not a problemsmile

From memory, the only other car I ever found that was listed as using the same clutch m/cyl was the Lotus Cortina cool - but I'm sure there were others, I just wasn't sad enough to go through the entire Lucas-Girling catalogue...

Part Q0012 master cylinder was fitted to my 390SE in 2007, cost listed as £55.58 + vat.

Maybe something to go on. smile
