unfortunately not in a wedge !!
Spent yesterday down at goodwood in my mates elise s1.
Despite the fact they stick like sh*T to the preverbial, i managed to lose her in a 720degree stylee halfway thru levant corner!!
Great car for tracking tho (was a lotus day) and one or two people had the same.
All manner of others made up numbers, including a bloke in a BMW 530 series diesel.....and he was QUICK (total 30) but we got a shed load of on-track for the money, and i have to say its a great track for it too......god bless lord March (who popped by in a new roller for a lap !)
I'm addicted and in a rush to get the 350 up and running.
Thought i'd share biggrin

Always wanted to have a go, and I used to spectate at a lot of trackdays at Croft when I lived up that way.

The fear of binning it is all that stopped me.

That's why I took the 400 drag racing instead.

Please get some video if you do have a go in the Wedge. thumbup

I did a trackday at Croft in '01, I spent most of it sideways, backwards and parked in the infield biggrin

One guy went backwards into the tyres in a Chim, GRP eggshell everywhere!

There was a S2 Esprit there that was all over me like a rash despite me having twice the engine capacity; Lotus certainly built better handling wedges than TVR did wink

What is it with Croft and wedges?
I did a TVRCC day at croft in my 400SE about 15 years ago (ouch).
Despite struggling to keep up on the straights i pushed it in the bends on cheap squealy tyres running 1min 42 laps as i remember.

I aim to go back in the rebuilt Chim on its new nitrons and compare

Went up to cadwell park in november, it was raining pretty hard and vis was poor so the track day didn't start til about 11. Wedge + a wet track = lots of sideways action!! I think in about the 15 laps I did, I had 3 yellow flag incidents! smash

It was very entertaining though.

Heading back the nurburgring at the end of next week and I'm hoping for some dry weather. driving

Did my only one at Silverstone and found out how much fun it was. Found out that grease from the UJ's melting and running onto red hot disks and smoking off scare the bejusus out of you until you find out what it is. We had instructors if wanted and learned quite a bit to keep up with the bigger tivs (until they got better wink ). Linda got a ride in a two seater Tuscan. I turned the chance down as I was awaiting my next track slot.

Happy days.

Must do it again one day.

I all ways said its one thing everyone must do, you have a lot more respect for you car, you can push them so much harder than you ever could on the road. yes you may have a very small chance of binning it, but only if your going way over your limit. I still say you have more chance of binning you car on the road, esp if you drive all year round.

Hoping to do a couple of track sessions this summer again. Combe on the 12th of June, Llandow in August. Another in either Pembrey or Combe again. I'll have to do another vid. Agree with Leigh, it really teaches you alot about your cars abilities & about you own lack of. driving Onwards & upwards. biggrin
