Diodes

Can anyone tell me where the diodes that control the headlight pods are on my 82 tasmin 280. Only one pod (n/s)comes up when the lights are turned on. The head lights both work and both pods lower when turned off so i know the motors ok. Also on the fuse panel where the fuse for the diode goes, it looks as if somethings shorted as its melted a bit and the wires are no longer there, i've noticed a black wire coming from the main beam fuse that is'nt connected to anything, i'm guessing that goes to the diode fuse? can anyone tell me where the other wire is connected/goes to from the other side of the diode fuse? Thanks.
