Rollbar - Will It Fit

I told you i was going to be on here a lot !!!

I have just found a roll bar in a scrapped 350i - Front end only 1990 G reg

Do you think it would fit straight into my 1989 F reg 450se ???

I know some of the body panels are a little different just unsure whether the mounting points for the roll bar would be in the same places ??

Any thouughts much appreciated as the missus wants me to have a roll bar for some reason !!

Not easily but probably, with a bit of welding work.

From my understanding, most hoops fit onto the rear outrigger strut and are bolted/welded in position. The trouble is this strut is in different places between the trailing arm wedges and the A-frame wedges (by about 4 inches), which is enough to make fitting a PITA if it's wrong.

G reg should be A frame. Hopefully.

Whatever you do don't let it get near the anti-roll bar - or there'll be a big explosion ;^)
