What a damned shame. frown

Possible chassis damage too, so maybe not economical to just put front bodywork on it, or turn it into a racer.

Oil filter is in an odd place, and right way up. scratchchin

Those wheels look the same 17's as I had on my black 350

Stole them of my old Toyota Supra when I put the originals back on, think they were some Porsche dial replica or something but did look quite good on the wedge yikes

Bevels will be ending up on a 450 SE if the sun stays out along with the dash vents and handbrake !!!
The roof struts and boot struts are also on the bench

I'm totally gutted to see 350se No.1 in such a sorry state, my car (350se No.9) is inconsolable and weeping tears of oil to see another of its siblings go to the great racetrack in the sky. I too saw it for sale a few months back and thought it a nice example.

Only 23 left in the World now as No.19 departed this life in a similar fashion a few years back as well. Such a crying shame! weeping

Does anybody know what happened to cause such damage and is the owner okay?

Hello,

350SE no 1 used to be mine up until February this year. I'm not sure what happened in the accident, I found out from a call from the breakers asking if I was interested in the parts.

I was absoluetly gutted when I heard and regreted selling it ;( I just hope the new owner and all involved are okay.

The alloys were BK racing 16" - made it a little easier with the tyre choice. I've still got the original Oz wheels stored away.

Although its cat B, I hold out some hope someone may choose to restore it even if it ended up as a Q plate. If not, then there's a lot of good parts there.

A photo of it from better days:

Looks like fire damage front end of the engine, ditto about someone returning it to its former glory I would have done the same with mine after my incident but combo of insurance not letting me buy it back directly, time and the fact that the insurance hassles continue and look like they might not be resolved for a good while !!! However HOB will return, a fine upstanding gentlemen is giving HOB some TLC
