Those with 16" wheels/Oz... whats the max rear tyre width that can be fitted?
225's seem very close to the round tie bar!

Has anyone fitted wider, are we talking spacers?

Hi Wayne, 245/45/16. They will fit without spacers but you may need to alter the rear ride height to stop them touching the inside of the arches in heavy cornering & bumps. thumbup
Got youself some?

Got off the phone yesterday with a former SEAC owner who ran 265/30/18 rear and 245/30/18's front.

No rubbing although minor bodywork behind the tyre was required for clearance.

He's going to try and find some old photo's which I'll gladly post with his permission.

Hi,

OK wheels not tyres....

I have 8.5 x 15 ET14 OZ split rims on my 400SE, this are cross spoked design, these seem to be wider than most but do not cause any rubbing issues.

Regards

Nick

I think that size was a option (SEAC maybe?). I've got the 8.5" wheels on the back of mine, with some minor rubbing.

Keep meaning to try them on the front to check for clearance. Do you have 8.5" on the front as well?

7.

In my experience, tyre and wheel sizes have to judged carefully along with ride height and spacers. I left it to the professionals and I am very happy with the result. See - http://pistonheads.co.uk/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&amp... Just because I can.
