Realistic MPG figures please
Discussion
Hello,
It probably seems slightly strange to be comtemplating MPG figures before buying a Wedge, but I'm currently running a Turbo Technics Range Rover Classic which yields between 10 and 15mpg around town/if driven fairly lively and must run Premium fuel at 8p per litre more than unleaded.
I'm moving house and will be increasing my current commute from a couple of miles to 20 per day. I'm not expecting to save loads of money, but am thinking that a potential fuel saving with a Wedge may cover my annual tax and insurance and give me a good excuse to buy one!
I'd prefer a V8 than the V6, but would be interested in learning what people get from different models both around town and on runs.
Thanks
Liz

My old 400 used to do around 25, but the bigger engines (4.5 & 5 litre) are probably in to the teens. Low 20's on a run.
I would not think bigger engine cars would be any less efficient if they was driven economicly esp as the cars are the same weight and drag. yes if you are pushing them hard.Gassing Station | Wedges | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
