I have sourced parts to do Austin Pri1ncess caliper upgrade to my 82 Tasmin coupe. Measuring wheels and size of calipers ,it seems as if wheel needs to be larger than standard 14in. Given that original wheel is 112,5 with 23mm offset, then 350i 15 in rims should work ? Opinion seems to vary 16in have been suggested but wheels with 23mm offset and 112 pattern aren't easy to find here in Canada.
Thanks for any advice.

Yes we have them on the 400SE models as standard, and a 15" goes over them fine.

You;ll need a set of 4 or it might look a bit odd! I don't know how easy they are to come by, you see them on ebay from time to time. I sold my last spare a year or so ago.

I have a set of Voxx MG or MG2 on my 85 Tasmin. It seems they don't make them anymore but they do have a replacement the MG3 I think (not sure on the offest but I think that was right) for them. The set I have doesn't look bad on the car. I'll see if I can snap a pic for ya of them on the car. Price is right, quality is pretty good for the price. I'd buy them again. Oh and I'm running some 205/45 r16s on there.

True, if you are changing you may as well go straight to 16 or even 17 as rubber is easier to get.

That was exactly my thought. I wouldn't go with a 17 on a 280i as it would require a 35 series tire and IMO just doesn't look right. I originally tried to go with 205/50 r16s but they rubbed. The 215/45 r16s do not but of course there isn't quite as many choices in tires and they aren't as cheap. I did find another source for some periodesque wheels on this side of the point. It is a company out in Cali that makes larger 80s BMW wheels. They looked great were a close enough offset (I think they were 25mm). Just didn't like the price of a $1000 for 4.
