Re V8 clutch slave cylinder union size
Discussion
We had this problemo when we changed clutch slave cylinder cos the union nut on the old pipe had a finer thread than the new slave cyl.Sooooooooooo my local motorspares shop said to me that the small (brake pipe size) pipe was unusual on a clutch so he made me up a new larger pipe(standard clutch size) with flared ends and new nuts with correct thread, same both ends. The old pipe had different nuts on each end!Sorry i cant remember the sizes exactly,John
I haven't messed with the slave, but I recently changed the clutch master cyliner.
It was inch not metric on the master. So I would guess it's inch at the slave.
I had to to put a fitting (bushed it one size up) as I used a TR6 master. Easier than flaring a new pipe
Mine is a 280 so this may not be of any use
