Where are all the SE builders, owners, regular maintainers? A lot of thought, effort and spondoolicks were involved. We are priveleged who work (!?) to earn the crust that is required to preserve these flying machines as they were intended,to being stewards. Is there anyone who can put me in touch with the maker of engine number NCK - 33 HW ( 1990, 400 SE)?

I tried to get the build spec of my engine (1988 build) NCK 127, but no records available. If your car is a bit later TVR may still have the original build spec for your car. When I spoke to TVR Power last year they knew all about these engines, but again no formal records.

Nice looking car and welcome to wedge ownership - a rollacoaster of mainly , but sometimes a few

Can't help with the build etc Jim, but nice car loverly in white, without doubt the most photogenic colour for a wedge.

Erm.....there appears to be a man in your profile pic who looks to be....er....banging one off over your wedge, and who can blame him??

the guy who seems to be driving the , it was his stable and that's where I found Shadowfax, grazing in Huddersfield. No smut here please thankyou. Just off out to get nice three quarter shot - stop it - to replace the dubious one referred to between showers. Hope Dave Ed is as obliging with the upload. Looking forward to the 17th July. Gonna sound like an RAF flypast

Hey Jim you got a twin!

My 400 is a white one too, engine wise I spoke to TVR Power, formally NCK, no records but a nice chap who used to build the them gave me a few indications what was done to them. mine is a very early 88 400 NCK engine with a rare poly V drive fitted.

Enjoy

Andy

Sound - so the NCK lettering is what, the same as 'TVR Power' is today? What about the 33 - HW? I thought that may be the 33rd engine that "HW" (whoever he may be) had made. What's this "hot wire" reference I have seen? While posting on tvrcc ( under wedges and gen. discs.), I followed my nose and found the minutes of last committee meeting. Chap called Grant Crouch, referred to as 'Models Registrar' but will be referred to as Database Administrator, is going to find info relating to every model made, it would seem. Just wanna shake the hand of the guy(s) who put these things together, ye know?

Hot wire referes to the Airflow meter on later models, and comes with a stepper motor on the rear of the plenum, flapper type is the early airflow meter and has an overrun valve on the rear of the plenum, more un reliable but more pleasing on the ear

NCK Racing was brought out by TVR and renamed TVR Power.
