Steve Heath Roll Bar Mounting Brackets

Hi all.

I'm hoping some of you have fitted these and could advise me, please..?

A little while ago my 1989 350I broke a front anti roll bar mounting bracket.

After a little searching I found the Steve Heath solid aluminium ones and bought them directly from the man himself.

I can get a photo or two up later if needed (I'm at work and sneaked on here quickly) but I'm a little unsure of what I need to do to fit these!

They have a two bolt fitting but the bottom bolt hole is half in line with the original slot for the steel mounting bracket.

Am I supposed to file / grind away half a bolt hole?
If I did I'm sure that the nut and washer supplied will be too small to cover the resulting hole!

I thought I'd ask here before going back to Mr. Heath in case I'm being silly!

File the bottom hole as necessary and use a bigger washer.
If you haven't got any, let me know and I'll drop some in the post.

I didn't want to waste your time asking you questions as I'm sure you are very busy.

I'll do that then, and I'm sure I can find a couple of larger washers.
