Hi peeps, Went out for a drive and the most freakiest thing happened, There was a guy cutting grass for the council alongside the road about 20yrds away on one of the cutters that you sit on. All i heard was a big bang and saw a stone the size of a golf ball flicking off what looked like me windscreen.. It actually hit the n/s windscreen pillar and has took a chunk out of it..ranting.. Im pretty good at filler work but was wondering if there is a finish coat or if i can use a product called Fibral, Which is a fibreglass paste as i feel this would be my best option.. Also is the paint goin to be hard to get.. looks like ferrari red..Cheers for any feedback.

My first port of call would be the council with a letter to get them to stump up for the repair!

Would have thought that would be a claim off the council insurance, they did it so they should repair it. I know a chap who does this sort of work for the council, it is not that rare an occurrence, and they cough up without too much bother once it is shown that they are liable.

Sorry chaps i meant to say that ive already contacted the council involved and was either going to self repair or let someone else.. As i said i am pretty good with fillers but am unsure if the finish has a coat or acrylic finsh before the paint.. There is a product called fibral that is a fibreglass filler.. Cheers.
