Tis a shame, I've been keeping an eye on the 450SE. I'll be buying another TVR in a few months and would have been very interested in buying it. I've been lucky enough to have owned 2 450SE's so far. Would have been nice to have made it a third.....

Hopefully smile Depending on what I can save a bigger Wedge, a V8S or Pre-Cat Griff may be on the menu....

I hope 965 is behaving herself.... I keep seeing her pop up in Sprint smile

He was asking £7500. Probably a little optimistic as the interior was very ropey.

Hi,

I am hoping to save the 450SE with alternative power, I have a Supercharged 4.6 to go into it.

The 450SE did "sell" twice, first time buyer got cold feet and made some excuses, second time I could not get the sale done, my son and partner got very ill for many months, in and out of hospital, and I had to go to Thailand for a bit.

Interior needs the veneer doing, and i have doem some of the things people pointed out so it looks better now.

The car is currently at TVR power for a 12k service and MOT, so the engine will be in good stead.

The 390SE engine, again, if the engine sells I have the VX unit to go in, i have run out of cash and need some money, no doubt bountyhunter will fill you in on the car, but i'd take it with a pinch of salt and some fairy dust when you read it.

Regards

Nick

Glad to hear there not being scrapped,
But would have thought it would be best to keep the 450SE original as they are so rare, and put the 4.6 SC in the 390SE

Yea i agree, its last resort, kinda, but in two minds now which is why i dropped the car off at TVR Power.

Someone offered me £5k for the 450 which i could not accept.

My problem is too may cars, not enough time, i have 4 wedges now, several Esprits, lost count on Lancia's, spread across 3 sites, its just got so out of hand. Its my only vice mind you and self inflicting of course which makes it worse.

Very guilty of neglecting the cars i have, hense why the 450 is with Dom.

Price wise, well yes little on the high side perhaps but think generally well priced, guess "prep" was missing, and condition is important.

With barns fulls of spares and magazines to sell as well, hense the eBay sales, i need another 100 hours or so each week...

waffling now...madness showing.....

Good luck Nick. Just think to youself..'what would I pay for this car'. I've let a couple go like this. Rightly or wrongly. I had to move on. Couple of people have had 'good buys' not bargains but good buys. Of course I'll be wanting £12k to part with my 450 now, so mabey I'll take back my 'over priced' comment on yours. thumbup

sorry wyn if i upset you
i didnt intend to "piss on your chips" at the time.
i do recall saying something about your price compared to 2 others available around the same time - pls accept my apologies for that.
however its not really any different to you commenting on the price of the 450 as you did above - without wishing to have an arguement can i ask why is it acceptable for you to do this, but not me ?

the 390 well thats a totally different matter, a friend and i actually viewed it - BUT im not willing to go into details on the forum as its against the rules, so email only.

that said i did ask for advice at the time of viewing, so if someone wants to look back in my post history for late last yr im sure you can find it - sorta proves that i have no axe to grind and any recent comments were totally genuine.

anyways i think we are all digressing here - this is not a matter that should be discussed in public.
nick (lancia4wd) lets just agree to disagree - you sell your car and i will give my off the forum advice to anyone who asks for it. that seems fair and right.

wyn - again i apologise if i upset you but as previously stated, what i did is no different to your comments about the 450 this evening.

Because there was a picture of the 450 interior showing it to be 'ropey'. My Chim was 'Mint' in all directions. thumbup

See my profile pic.

yes but it was also more expensive than 2 other examples which looked equally as mint - thats all i said.

at the end of the day we both did the same thing - commented on the price of someone elses car for sale. you cant in all fairness slate me for doing something you did yourself (something i have apologised to you for doing)

btw yes your chim was stunning - the low down face on pic of it is one my all time fave chim pictures

im apologising now as i didnt realise it had pi$$ed you off -i honestly dont rememebr the incident particularly bar making a small comment and comparison to 2 other ones for sale (just to let you know really, not as a dig)

forums are here for people to share info, give advice (be it wanted or not - lol) etc etc
but theyre also a place where its too easy for ppl to take offence at other members where that hasnt been the intention, and life is too short for grudges.

sorry to hear that about the eye injury.
