Hey All,
I know this isnt wedge related, but thought i would share the first pics of the new toy!
Vikki and I have bought a new member of the family, a 230SL Pagoda.
One owner from new, and we bought it from her direct! Right place, right time sort of car...

Amazing how when you drive the wedge you roll along a wave of noise and 'man stuff', but when you drive this, you get the feeling of being very grown up!
And I know the roof is on...!!! Taking it to Goodwood Breakfast Club this weekend, its first car meet
The wedge better be fixed soon as she now has stiff competition!

Matt - that does look very nice.
If you are passing my house - I can leave the fuel regulator outside in a bag ?
Sorry Rev, got a bit confused..is yours an adjustable or a fixed??If you are passing my house - I can leave the fuel regulator outside in a bag ?
You planning to go to Goodwood breakfact club this sunday??
George - Thats the same as i found, most of these SL's are rotten to the floor! Its normal thought, this one has had a whole complete floor put in...
Just about from the days when Mercedes still made good-looking cars.
When I was a kid my dad used to drive us around in a '59 300D pillarless limo... he bought it for £350 in 1969 - really wanted an American tank but the Merc was the only thing he could find. Shame that he didn't know it was one of only 1200 they built... not until the '90s classic car boom when they were fetching up to £48000 at auction. You'd still struggle to find one for much under 15 grand...
in fact here's one up for auction soon:-
