As to what colour carpet I should fit. Nothing wrong with whats in there now, apart from in the foot well looking a bit tatty.

As picture shows, red with cream leather- maroon piping, veneer dash. Gear/handbrake gaiter are a maroon type colour, but these could be changed also.
Was initially thinking black with cream edging but then someone suggested red with cream. I thought red might be too much, but not sure. I am open to suggestions or even pictures of yours. (excuse to post some nice piccies).

As per usual, all work will be done by myself because I am far too tight to pay anyone. Well apart from doing the edging maybe cos Mrs TT said so

Present carpet is a bit beigey type. I not like them at all really

Red carpets in mine, looks fine. Probably replace with Black when the time comes though. Don't like three colours in an interior.

The last time I recarpeted a car, an S2 a few years ago, I bought carpet from Coverdale I think. This time I am just going to carpetright or walterwall. Carpet is carpet

The noise reduction underlay I dont think is really needed, It is a Tiv ya know.

Yeah it just adds weight - especially when soaking wet!

I take my footwell carpets out if it's going to be parked outside for any length and I suspect rain is on the way, and put them on the parcel shelf.

It's comical don't you think - about what we have to go through in order to protect our carpets every time it rains? If I park facing down a slope my car stays nice and dry - if I park the other way round - my floor mats end up like sponges!! I bet someone's gonna say the opposite!!!

The only time I have been out in the rain, I found a small leak, just above my sun visor. Haven't figured out how it was getting in yet, but it dribbled water right on me nuts. yikes

Felt like I had wet myself when I got out

Yeah yeah, any old excuse...... wink

Water pooling in the run off channel finding a way in.

Anyway, I am thinking of red. Very worn magnolia (might have started as another colour) at the moment.

Hi topton.. I personally think Red and cream..Nice.. Black n red.. Nice.. Black n white.. Very neat.. If you put too many clashing colours it will look cheap.. As the car is red, Red carpet with black seats pipped red, Black console and dash.. Red gaiters, white dials, you could bling up ya switches..chrome or brushed steel, Chrome and steel def go with black.. But be subtle,There are so many carpets for cars out there, coverdale is good,They have some nice close cut foam backed easy to cut n fit carpet,The old yak fur that TVR used is worthy of the bin in most cases. If your veneer is in good nick it should look sweeeet.. Ive seen some painted.. YUCK.. wood should be preserved.. ha ha preserve your wood..sorry..Also be aware that colours have different effects on different folks.. Your overall colour ie: the car should reflect your entirity.. The feeling it gives you when you look at it..Then the colour inside reflect your mood just like indoors.. I love sky blue and would choose that as an overall colour.. but inside it would be dark and there would be subltle things that are blue to keep me calm.. Even blue dash lights worked for me.. I dont listen to opera because it make me violent.. yet people relax to it.. No what i mean.. Hope this helps.

Slow down MrZ, it is only the carpets I am going to change not chav out the whole car. The dials etc I am happy with.
Still think to be leaning towards red. The cream leather is fine mostly, apart from a thin patch near the handbrake and the arm rest on the door. Easily fixed with some leather dye and moisturiser. Billyconnelise it my mrs says
