Do you think a rear diffuser 'professionally crafted' would suit a wedge?

I think it would suit. It would help the car to look a little less 'heavy' from the rear view?

You've got no imagination Rich idea

Just take your 'must not mod it in any way from stock' hat off for a minute.

I have a master of fibreglass to hand:

He modded my other car's headlamps from this style:

to this later factory design:

It included the headlamp surrounds AND a complete bumper both moulded off of a later model De Tomaso, one of the last six made in the late 80's. You'll recognise the early type being from the Granada!

This is the quality of my friends work plus paint.

Mark, Darren,

Not bad.

Some ideas for the pot.

Not sure I'll be going down this route due to cost of my resto spiralling out of controll but did want to find out what others thought of the idea.

I'll print off this thread and add it to the file.

Thanks everyone.

Just a thought, but in order for a diffuser to work effectively, don't you have to have the underside of the car flat and smoothe to enable the diffuser at the rear to suck the car to the ground? You'll need a fair bit of MDF glued under the car to make it happen.....an interesting project though.

Great Wyn,

thanks for that.

Do you know, I think it would work, don't you?

Nige, re modded bodywork it's primarily for aesthetics.

If I wanted to get seriously into aero work I'd book the car into Lola as they have a full-size wind tunnel - which I've stood in, but not when the winds blowing biggrin
